Since the bike recycling scheme, which is run jointly with Luton Borough Council and Bedford Borough Council, started in April 2017 more than 1100 bikes have been re-homed.
Donated bikes are refurbished and catalogued ready to find new owners. In many cases, these bikes have changed lives; some have helped long-term unemployed get back into work and others have provided a source of transport and independence for children in care.
