We want your unwanted bikes!
We will be holding another bike donation event at the Travel Choices Hub, 1 Ashton Square, Dunstable on Wednesday 21st August 11am to 3pm.
A total of 165 bikes have been collected from recycling events this year, and many of these bikes have already been refurbished and have proud new owners!
Thank you to everyone who came along to our bike recycling event on Monday 24 June!
Staff at Priory House, Chicksands and local residents responded to the call to donate their unwanted bikes and around 90 bikes were collected on the day. The bikes have already gone to the Luton Council workshop to be refurbished ready for re-homing!
As Summer approaches, now is a good time to get serious about being more active.
Come and join us on our new Ampthill walk to improve your fitness and meet new people. The walks will start and return from Katherine's House (Grand Union Association building) , Dunstable Street, Ampthill. You’ll be welcome to stay after the walk for a cup of tea and a chat.
A huge thank you from the Travel Choices team to everyone who came along to our bike recycling event at Ampthill Library on Saturday 20 April.
The Big Pedal challenge ran for 10 days from 25 March to 5 April 2019. All schools in Central Bedfordshire were invited to sign up to the UK’s largest inter-school’s cycling, walking and scooting challenge which inspired pupils, staff and parents to choose human power for their journey to school.
During the challenge, Central Bedfordshire Schools made an amazing 55,412 journeys on foot, cycle or scooter, averting 65,664 kg of carbon dioxide.
Well done to everyone who took part.
