The rail network in Central Bedfordshire

Central Bedfordshire is well connected to the National Rail network with three strategically important rail lines.

East Coast Mainline - between London and Scotland via the North East and Yorkshire.

Midland Mainline - between London and Sheffield via the East Midlands.

West Coast Mainline - between London and Glasgow via the West Midlands and the North West.

Train Operating Companies

Govia Thameslink operates two franchises within Central Bedfordshire. One between London Kings Cross and Peterborough on the East Coast Mainline serving Sandy, Biggleswade and Arlesey, and the other operates between London St Pancras and Bedford on the Midland Mainline serving Flitwick and Harlington.

London Northwestern Railway operates between London Euston and Birmingham along the West Coast Mainline, stopping at Leighton Buzzard.
